The popular Hindi news channel Aaj Tak has reclaimed the number 1 position from India TV in the urban HSM. India TV is now the second most watched news channel while the remaining positions have remained unchanged.
Republic TV and CNN-News18 saw an increase in weekly impressions while the other English news channels saw a drop. The pecking order remained unchanged. ET Now and BTVI increased their weekly impressions while CNBC TV18 and CNBC TV18 Prime HD saw a decline.
The weekly impressions of both the Hindi business news channels witnessed a drop.
Rishtey was on the second position while Star Bharat dropped to the third spot, followed by Sony Pal and Zee TV at fourth and fifth positions respectively. Star Utsav slipped to the sixth position. Sony SAB and Sony Entertainment Television (SET) swapped positions.
Discovery Communications India’s kids channel Discovery Kids has entered the top 5 table. This is the first time the channel has entered the top 5 table since the roll-out of BARC.
