On 30 Dec, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) issued its monthly subscription report for October 2019 which shows Reliance Jio Infocomm at number 5 with 0.79 million subscribers. The achievement is quite stupendous as the telecom operator had launched its wired broadband service Jio Fiber on 5th September 2019.
On 30 Dec, Congress MP Manish Tewari raised queries and wanted details about the yearly amount spent by the Government of India (GOI) on print, broadcasting, social media and outdoor advertisements between 26 May 2014 and 30 September 2019 on 29 November. He also asked for details about the amount spent on ads in foreign media.
