The event kicked off with a high-level Opening Address by Mr S. Iswaran, Minister for Communications and Information of Singapore and continued with content-rich keynotes by Alibaba Cloud International, Google Cloud, Singtel, Mediacorp, BBC Worldwide, Netflix, Telenor Connexion and more.
Throughout all 3 days, both venues witnessed a whirlwind of action with the presence of more than 1,800 exhibitors from 52 countries / regions, including 40 international group pavilions, 4 technology-dedicated zones and more than 20 complimentary activities.
ConnecTechAsia Summit 2018 wrapped up with a power-packed 3-day event of networking sessions, comprehensive thought leadership presentations, C-level expert sharing, peers and industry insights.
With the inaugural rebrand of CommunicAsia, BroadcastAsia and NXTAsia under ConnecTechAsia the overarching theme of “Experience the Future”, saw close to 900 industry professionals from across the globe and typically APAC congregated to hear from a stellar line-up of 210 speakers. C-level dialogues, panel discussions, in-depth case studies and fire-side chats shared practical insights on hyper-convergence, the next wave of frontier and innovative technologies, digital business transformation and how partnerships and strategic B2B collaborations will shape the future of the digitalised business value chain and accelerate the evolution of tomorrow’s ecosystem.
The Summit kicked off on Day One with an opening ceremony graced by Minister S Iswaran to the show. The joint morning plenary saw tech giants and heavyweights taking the stage echoing the Summit’s theme “Digital Business Transformation”, starting with Alibaba
Cloud’s opening keynote, Google’s The Age of AI presentation, Netflix’s Fireside Chat and Telenor Connexion IIoT Case Study Session. This was followed by a CXO Panel gathering industry leaders from Singtel, Mediacorp, Eutelsat, CDNetworks and BBC Worldwide to address how they are spearheading digital transformation within their organisation.

Together, this mega technology event presents a holistic view of infrastructure hardware, software, services and high level thought-leadership from leading and upcoming companies and industry executives from all over the world, helping businesses and governments in Asia navigate and adapt to this new era of digital convergence and Industry 4.0.
This is the first year of the rebrand to ConnecTechAsia
With ConnecTechAsia, we have taken the best of what we do in the telecoms and broadcasting space, and added the new element of emerging technology in a much bigger way, with NXTAsia.
With the addition of, there is greater emphasis on how technologies such as AI, robotics, block chain, VR/AR, and IoT are not are not just disrupting telecoms and media, but also across industries and cities in Asia. There was a deliberate in making sure this is clearly reflected across the exhibition, conference and showfloor feature areas and zones, with new exhibits, topics, speakers, exciting showcases and demonstrations.
The same narrative, echoed in a brand new format with the conference. Doing away with two separate conferences last year, three tracks-NetworkComms, EmergingTech and Broadcast Media were introduced under one brand-the ConnecTechAsia Summit.
ConnecTechAsia will return from 18 – 20 June 2019 (Tuesday to Thursday). BroadcastAsia will be hosted at Suntec Singapore while CommunicAsia and NXTAsia will be held at Marina Bay Sands.
