As directed by the Bombay High Court, Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) submitted their respective bank guarantees to stay as part of the Indian Premier League (IPL).


The Gujarat High Court has directed all the direct-to-home (DTH) satellite TV service providers in the state to pay up entertainment tax for the July-September 2010 quarter with the state government.


A division bench of the Delhi High Court has issued notice to NDTV for terminating channel distribution contract with MSM Discovery and switching over to Star Den. The court listed the matter for next hearing on 18 March.

The Delhi High Court has said that payment to foreign satellite companies are not liable to tax. The court, thus, gave relief to Hong Kong based-satellite operator AsiaSat, in a ruling that will help broadcast companies.


Delhi High Court restrained all cable operators from unauthorised telecast of the ICC Cricket World Cup matches on their cable networks.

Chief Justice Dipak Misra of the Delhi High Court has decided to see two recent episodes of the reality show Emotional Atyachar on UTV Bindass, following a petition that it is vulgar and obscene.


An episode from the reality show, 'Emotional Atyachaar", was viewed in the Delhi High court as the Chief Justice wanted to examine the allegation that the programme is vulgar.
