It has garnered close to 110,000 broadband subscribers till November 2018. The company is owned by Hinduja Ventures Ltd (HVL). Last FY, it had faced a net loss of Rs 7.9 crore.
Its EBITDA came up to Rs 1.82 crore from Rs 40 lakh in FY17. Revenue almost doubled to Rs 34 crore as against Rs 17 crore a year ago. In FY16, the company’s net loss was Rs 23.13 crore on a revenue of Rs 13.23 crore.
Also, OIL has unveiled Gigabit Passive optical networking (GPON) technology in Mumbai and Delhi in June 2018. It uses Fibre to the Home (FTTH) technology to push high-speed internet through cables. Also, the company is currently working on Over-the-top (OTT) technology.
