Its standalone net profit for the quarter ended 30th June has dropped 6.7% to Rs. 381.87 crore as against Rs. 409.14 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. After accounting for the other comprehensive income (net of taxes), its total comprehensive income for the quarter was Rs. 381.70 crore as against Rs. 409.20 crore.
As per broadcaster’s report, the revenue excluding Indian Premier League (IPL) was up by 16% at Rs. 856.97 crore, as against Rs. 738.59 crore. Advertisement revenue grew to Rs. 368.15 crores compared to Rs 362.49 crore. The subscription revenue was up by 28 % at Rs. 396.94 crore as against Rs. 311.27 crore.
Its total income for the quarter was at Rs. 1,158.07 crore as against Rs. 1,159.39 crore. Total expenses jumped to Rs. 603.1 crore from Rs 551.56 crore.
