In a landmark decision, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has not only prohibited NDTV promoters RRPR Holdings Pvt. Ltd., Prannoy Roy, and Radhika Roy from using the securities market for two years, but also restrained Prannoy Roy and Radhika Roy from holding or occupying position as Director or any key managerial personnel in NDTV for the same period and in any other listed company for a period of one year.

Political parties spent heavily on ads on TV & radio during General Election 2019, as per TAM Media Research’s AdEx report.
