This time, all social media platforms are taking strong steps to ensure the Election Commission of India (ECI) successfully conducts clean election. The Google-owned OTT platform YouTube too has launched many features to make news experience more transparent and contextual in poll-bound India.
As reported a few days back, the Madras High Court has recently advised the Central government to ban the TikTok app claiming it was encouraging pornography among youngsters. Now, as per a survey by news app Inshorts, each out of 10 millennials living in India want the controversial Chinese video app TikTok to be banned.
While discussing the future of OTT on the occasion of Viacom18’s digital video-on-demand streaming service VOOT’s third anniversary, senior officials of Voot said that the platform will aim for 100+ billion minutes of watch time and will have 100 million monthly active users within the fiscal year.
On Google owned OTT platform YouTube, the USP Studios’ Kids TV has crossed 10 million subscribers mark and has been awarded with the prestigious Diamond Play Button. The Diamond Play Button is a top honour conferred by YouTube, next only to the Ruby Play Button for the 50 million mark.
